Mywife and I want to bring our 2.5 y/o son to WDW this year. We are trying to find out when it will be the least crowdest... Our travel time is flexible, but we woud also like to keep the costs down. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi John!

How wonderful that you are planning a vacation for your son! My daughter took her first trip to Disney World at the age of 2 1/2 and it was a very magical and memorable experience.

I would suggest looking into booking your vacation for sometime in September. After Labor Day, the crowds are very manageable as kids are just getting back to school. This also happens to be during Disney's value season, which means room rates are at their lowest. Disney is currently offering a "Free Dining" promotion - if you book a package stay between August 16 and October 3, you can get the Disney dining plan for free. This is a great promotion and will save you a ton on food! By the way, since your son is younger than 3, he will get admission to the parks for free!

The only downfall to traveling during September is that the weather can be quite hot. However, if you plan to take a break in the middle of the day to swim in your resort pool or alternate between air-conditioned attractions and those outside, you can beat the heat.

I hope this helps and gave you a few ideas. Have fun planning your vacation!
