Hi Kathleen!
There are a few different Disney Dining Plan Levels and they each have different options as far as what you get as a meal. The Standard or
Basic Disney Dining Plan consists of a entree, a non-alcoholic beverage, and dessert in 2011 (children ages 3 to 9 do get an appetizer with this plan). If you have the
Deluxe Dining Plan, the
Premium Dining Plan, or the
Platinum Dining Plan you will receive an appetizer, an entree, a non-alcoholic beverage, and dessert, for each Table Service Meal in 2011. The 2011
Quick Service Dining Plan does not include appetizers, but the Quick Service Meals are combo meal which include a non-alcoholic beverage, a main entree often with a side such as fries, and a dessert. You can click on all the hyperlinks in my answer to see what each Disney Dining Plan offers in detail.
I hope that your upcoming vacation in Walt Disney World is truly magical!
Keep Dreaming Big!
Marc
