Hi myself& my family are staying at Animal Kingdom in August.I have asked for a quiet room on a high floor. But am worried there is a long walk daily to get the food hall, the hotel seems quite spread out.Which part of the hotel is best to avoid this

    Hi Justin,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a beautiful resort. The decor is rich and lovely, with many pieces of artwork from Africa. And the ability to see exotic animals from so many vantage points in the resort is amazing!

I think that what you are looking for is a location that is not too far of a walk from The Mara, which is the quick-service dining location at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. This is also quite close to both Jiko - The Cooking Place, the signature restaurant, as well as Boma - Flavors of Africa, the buffet restaurant, at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. I suggest that you request a room that is near the lobby.  All of these dining locations are located fairly near to the main lobby of the resort, so a room near the lobby should put you fairly close to the dining locations. The Mara is also located right off of the Uzima Pool area, so asking for a location close to the pool would put you close as well; however, this might not be as quiet a room as you had requested since the pool areas see a lot of activity.

Please do note that while Disney will do their best to honor all requests, they cannot be guaranteed.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Justin. Have a wonderful time planning your magical vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions!
