Myself, wife and 3 yr old are coming for 1 day visit, staying off site in Kissimee. Our first fast pass is at 9am with Tinkerbell at MK. Realistic timing expectation for drive, park/monorail, park entrance to make sure we're on time?

Hello Michael! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. It sounds like you have a practically perfect morning planned for your little one at Magic Kingdom Park. My daughter, to this day, loves getting to visit with Tinker Bell.

I often stay in the Kissimmee area while visiting Walt Disney World and really enjoy it. It's actually very convenient to get to the Parks from that area but since I don't know exactly where you are staying I can't say for sure about car travel time. What I suggest doing is when you arrive to where you are staying, putting the Transportation and Ticket Center into your GPS. This will give you an idea of how long it will take you to drive there. The monorail or boat over to Magic Kingdom Park will start running from the Transportation and Ticket Center, where you'll be parking for Magic Kingdom Park, about 45 minutes prior to the park opening. I'd suggest being on that first boat over to the park. So take whenever the park opens minus 45 minutes and minus how long your GPS says that it'll take you to get there and that's what time you'll need to leave in the morning. This will give you plenty of time to enjoy walking down Main Street U.S.A. and soaking in some of that magical morning atmosphere. Keep in mind that your FastPass+ selection has a 1 hour window. So if your return time starts at 9:00 a.m. you'll actually have from 9:00 a.m to 10:00 a.m. to enter the return queue. If it were me, I'd use the first part of the hour to wait in a standby queue to another attraction that you might be interested in. In the mornings the parks are far less crowded and you'll be amazed at how quickly you'll be able to enjoy things. I'd aim to return for your FastPass+ selection around 9:50 a.m. and enjoy a few other things first!

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
