Hi! Myself and my partner have just booked a trip to Disney for Jan '24. She is Type 1 diabetic, and as her blood sugar can drop very low after long standing periods/high heat, make her feel quite unwell. Would she qualify for the DAS pass?

    Hi, Florence!  Welcome to planDisney!

One of the things that I love the most about Walt Disney World Resort is the way that they truly go above and beyond to make the magic accessible to everyone.  There are many accommodations available for Guests who have a disability or medical condition, and Disability Access Service (DAS) is one of those accommodations.

DAS is intended for Guests who, due to a disability, cannot tolerate waiting in a traditional queue environment.  If your partner feels that this service could be helpful to her, I would recommend that she visits the front entrance Guest Relations location as soon as she arrives at one of the Walt Disney World theme parks.  At Guest Relations, your partner can speak with a Cast Member about her needs, and together they can determine if DAS would be a good fit.

As you plan for your trip, be sure to follow the Disney Parks Blog for all of the latest Walt Disney World news.  Just yesterday, the Disney Parks Blog announced several updates to make your visit easier.  These updates such as the return of Disney dining plans and the removal of theme park reservations for date-based tickets will go into effect on January 9, 2024.  If you have questions about these updates or any other aspect of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, please visit us at planDisney again.  We would love to help!

    Have a magical day!
