Hello Char!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Disney Dining Plans are a great addition to Magic Your Way Vacation Packages, because they really turn your visit into an all-inclusive experience.
When you add a Disney Dining Plan to your package every Guest in your party must have the same plan. In addition, you cannot choose to purchase a plan for certain members of your party and leave others out. If you are not sure about purchasing a Disney Deluxe Dining Plan because of your 10-year-old, then I suggest purchasing a
Disney Dining Plan which will give each Guest in your party 1 Quick-Service meal, 1 Table-Service meal and 2 Snack entitlements for each night of your stay, in addition to a refillable drink mug that can be used at Disney Resort hotels. I believe this is the ideal plan if you are traveling with children and teens, as it gives you flexibility on where to dine. My family likes arriving at the parks early and then having a relaxed lunch at a Table-Service location to take a break from the midday sun. In the evening we like choosing a Quick-Service location and eating outdoors, if possible, to enjoy the lights, sights and sounds of the Walt Disney World Resort at night.
Moms Panel tip: use Snack entitlements and your refillable drink mug to have breakfast at your Disney Resort hotel. We usually use these credits to purchase cupcakes, Danish, brownies, oatmeal and other eligible items that can be identified by the white and purple Disney Dining Plan logo. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are our drinks of choice in the morning with the refillable mug.
I hope this helps you while planning, Char. Please stop by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with more questions. We are delighted to help!
Best magical wishes,
Thiana
