Hello there, Michelle, and welcome to planDisney!
Your next holiday may be months away, but the magic starts now in the planning stage. I love that you're already thinking about your game plan for the theme parks. I'm a Disney super planner myself, so I totally get needing to know the ins and outs before getting into vacay mode.
The short answer is that you can most definitely park more than one vehicle for free at the theme parks when you are staying onsite at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. The longer answer is that you both need to be able to individually prove that you're staying onsite with a room-connected ticket, band, or the
My Disney Experience app (and possibly, a valid photo identification card). As locals, my family frequently visits the theme parks and if we have to take separate vehicles, my husband is able to show his ticket and get free parking (included with our annual passes). I can do the same for my own car as well.
Keep in mind that you also have some great free ways to get around property. Of course it depends on which hotel that you will be staying at, but there's one tried and true method: the Disney bus. It really shines when you're getting to Magic Kingdom because buses bypass the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) hub and gets you super close to the park's main entrance.
AN EXTRA GEM: My favorite mode of transportation is the
Disney Skyliner. If you're staying at Caribbean Beach, the Riviera, Art of Animation, or other nearby hotels, the Disney Skyliner is super convenient to use when getting to Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT.
I hope that you and your husband have a fantastic holiday at Disney World, Michelle. If you have any other planning questions,
any of the panelists at planDisney would be more than happy to lend a Mickey hand. See you real soon!
Magic always,
LeAndra
