Myself and my husband have the my Disney experience app but my child’s ticket is only showing on my app however we are both linked on friends and family will this affect us when joining virtual queues? Thanks

    Hiya Lucy!

Welcome to planDisney! I love answering My Disney Experience Mobile App questions. It is through your questions that I learn more myself as I always test things out before I answer! I find that each time I explore the app I find something new. Did you know they made giving Cast Compliments to amazing Cast Members even easier now? Just click on the three stacked lines on the bottom right of the app and scroll to the bottom till you see Cast Compliments. Cast Compliments are when you praise an employee for doing a great job.

Going back to your question, my husband and I are in a similar situation. We each have our own My Disney Experience Account but only one of us is the account that manages the kids' profiles. I just checked our accounts and found my kids' tickets in both of our apps. However, I do not have the power to reassign their tickets while my husband can. I want you to try something out for me and let me know if it doesn't work. Log into the account that manages the profiles of your children. Click on their profile settings on the Family & Friends List and make sure that the second parent has the option selected for them to "view all of your plans." By permitting the non-managing parent, the tickets should appear on both accounts. Now, even if it doesn't appear, as long as everyone is linked on the Family & Friends list and both parents are seeing the kids on there then you are all set.

When booking a Virtual Queue, dining reservation, or even a Lightning Lane via Disney Genie+ you will reach a point to select your party. The people on your Friends & Family List who have valid tickets will be able to join your Virtual Queue. Remember that there are usually two times a day you can join a Virtual Queue. They are 7 am and 1 pm. The 7 am one can be joined from your Walt Disney World Resort room, at the airport, or anywhere. The 1 pm queue can only be joined while in the Park that has that attraction, you are seeking to join the Virtual Queue for. If you are staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort or Disney Deluxe Villa Resort and you plan on visiting a park with extended evening theme park hours you can join another Virtual Queue at 6 pm. The 6 pm Virtual Queue does not require you to be in the Parks.

I hope this helps and that you find all your kids linked up properly! Have a magical time!

    Happy Planning!

My husband and I work very hard to journey to our favorite place on Earth, Walt Disney World Resort, as much as we can. We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
