Hello there, Jill,
Your Walt Disney World Resort visit is fast approaching, and I know you must be getting excited! I don't see your previous inquiry on our end, so I'm glad you reached out to planDisney for clarification and assistance. Let's talk through the
Disability Access Service (DAS) details as you prepare your final packing list, park itineraries, and wish list of must-eat snacks!
The
DAS registration process has undergone some changes in recent years, so it may look a bit different than it did on your last visit. At this time, guests can complete registration/approval via a Live Video Chat with a Cast Member, which is available between 7 am and 8 pm EST daily. However, since you're visiting from across the pond, you'll need to wait until you've arrived in the US to tackle this.
Once you're stateside, click the
"Request Live Video Chat" button on the US version of the website using your smartphone or laptop enabled with a camera and microphone. If you do not have a device available, stop by
Guest Relations on your first park day for assistance. It's my understanding that they'll have devices for guests to complete the registration process. Keep in mind that your grandson will need a parent or guardian present during his video chat if he's under 18 years old.
I recommend reviewing
this accessibility guidance ahead of your visit so you're up to date on all the services offered to guests with disabilities. I hope the information and services help you and your grandson enjoy your vacation to the fullest!
If we can offer any further guidance, please come back to planDisney and let us know.
Magic and memories,
Amy
