My Granddaughter is 34 inches is there a good amount of rides she can ride at magic kingdom and adventure island?

    Hiya, Ronda! Welcome to planDisney!

It looks like your Walt Disney World vacation with your granddaughter is just around the corner. To quote a very famous mouse: “Oh boy!” You both will be making magical memories before you know it.

There is so much to do at the Magic Kingdom—and all across Walt Disney World—for a kiddo your granddaughter’s size. While every Walt Disney World theme park has something for every age and interest, I think the Magic Kingdom is especially great for young kids. Here’s a partial list of attractions at the Magic Kingdom with no height restrictions

    - Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
    - Country Bear Musical Jamboree
    - Dumbo the Flying Elephant
    - Enchanted Tales with Belle
    - “It’s a small world”
    - Jungle Cruise
    - The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
    - The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
    - Peter Pan’s Flight
    - Pirates of the Caribbean
    - Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room

I’ll also add that Tomorrowland Speedway has a 32-inch height requirement, so your granddaughter would be able to put the pedal to the metal and speed around Tomorrowland. And if she happens to have a growth spurt in the coming weeks and hits 35 inches tall, then she could also enjoy The Barnstormer rollercoaster.

As you can see, there is a world of fun awaiting your granddaughter at the Magic Kingdom. And I didn’t even list the character experiences

As you put the finishing touches on your vacation itinerary, make sure you take a look at the Disney World Rides & Entertainment webpage or the attractions option on the My Disney Experience mobile app map. Both feature a variety of filters—including age, height requirement, thrill factor, and interests—that can help you narrow down the list of appropriate attractions for your little Mouseketeer at every theme park and water park.

Also, while I’m sure your granddaughter would remind us all that she’s a big kid, there are Baby Care Centers located in each theme park. The centers sell things like juice, diapers, wipes, sunscreen, and over-the-counter medications (subject to availability), which may still be useful when visiting Walt Disney World with a little one.

I hope this information is helpful, Ronda. Don’t hesitate to come right back if you have any other questions or are looking for more kid-friendly recommendations. You’re as welcome as can be at planDisney!

    Magical travels!
