Is the MVMCP worth it? Kids are 11 and 10 and aren't really into the musical show type events. Is it worth the extra $100 per person to go to this event?

    Hi Sarah,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!

While I love Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, it may not be right for your family. When I think about what makes me enjoy Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party so much, it is the extra and special entertainment - from the shows, to the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, to the amazing fireworks. If your children do not enjoy this kind of entertainment, this may not be the right choice for you. I should also mention that there are many fewer guests in the Magic Kingdom during this time, so lines for attractions tend to be shorter and if that is important to you, it may be worth it just for that.

Perhaps there is another special activity that you could do with your family. For example, my family really enjoys a night at Splitsville Luxury Lanes at Disney Springs. We like to bowl and then enjoy some dinner at this fun location. Another thought is the Wild Africa Trek. Although this is not in the evening, it is an amazing experience. The Wild Africa Trek takes place at Disney's Animal Kingdom and offers a unique experience and perspective on the animals. You will get to traverse a bridge above Kilmanjaro Safari, and enjoy a snack from a fabulous location on the savanna.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Sarah. Have a great time planning your magical vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
