We will be going to MVMCP for the 1st time in December. I've heard it's hard to see and do all the special activities during the party that are exclusive to the party. Can you suggest an itinerary for us so we see/do as much as possible? Thank you!

    Hi, Denise!

Mickey throws the most amazing Christmas party, so I am glad you are planning on attending!

Some tips to make the most of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party:
-Although the party officially starts at 7:00 p.m. you can enter the Magic Kingdom at 4:00 p.m.  Plan to be there at 4:00 p.m. sharp to get the party started!
-Plan on an early Quick Service dinner. You will not want to spend valuable time sitting in a restaurant.
-Grab a park map upon entering the party.  This will give you times of parades, fireworks, and locations of the free hot cocoa and sweet treats!
-The second parade usually has smaller crowds, so plan to view the later parade.  Find a cozy spot in Frontierland to view the parade.  Since the parade starts in the back of the park, your wait for the start of it will not be as long.  As soon as the last float passes by, head over to Big Thunder Mountain or Splash Mountain as you will be right in the neighborhood!

Finally, while we all like to squeeze in as much holiday merriment as possible, plan on plenty of time to enjoy the beauty of Main Street.  Take in all the decorations, festive store window displays, the lights, and I hear there might even be snow in the forecast!

Wishing you a very magical holiday season in Walt Disney World!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
