I have a MVMCP ticket for next week that we cannot use but come to WDW twice a year. Can we park the pass and use next year? Also will the VMP have smaller crowds than a normal day and do guests use the standby lane (no GP or LL options) Thx

    Hiya Kelly-Anne!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for sending us this magical question! I always get so excited answering questions from fellow Canadians as I know just how memorable these vacations are. Plus, the Christmas Parties and other special-ticketed events add so much to your experience, so I cannot wait for you to experience it all, whether it be this year or in the future!

Unfortunately, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party tickets are only available for the date you have selected and cannot be used for a future year. Unfortunately, these tickets are also non-refundable, but they can be reassigned if anyone in your party would like to attend. I know this probably was not the answer you were hoping for, but I do hope you will be able to attend the Christmas Parties real soon!

As for attractions, the crowds are typically much lower on Christmas Party nights as admission is limited. Indeed, fewer tickets are sold during the parties and other special ticketed events than during the day, specifically to reduce wait times for popular attractions. This is especially true during bigger seasonal events such as the fireworks and parade or toward the end of the night. Individual Lightning Lanes and Disney Genie+ selections are also unavailable during the Christmas Parties, so Guests can only go through the regular stand-by lines.

For more holly-jolly tips like this, I highly recommend you check out Disney Parks Blog's latest article featuring all of our best Christmas tips. The best part is that, much like Christmas trees, these tips are "evergreen" and can be used through the years, so they will still be helpful if you choose to attend the parties next year!

I hope this was helpful, Kelly-Anne, and that you will be able to visit the Disney theme parks real soon! If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your trip, please don't hesitate to reach back out. Besides, since I grew up in Quebec, that basically makes us neighbours, right?

Have a happy, merry, holly, jolly day!
