Welcome BACK, Ashley!
Thank you again so much for stopping back by the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking another great Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR! Oh Boy! Dining and snacking around Mickey's house has become such a "thing" in the last few years that I like to say that Disney is technically now an
Eat Park too. And even better, most of these options qualify as
Disney Dining Plan snack entitlements!
First up are the
classic theme park treats like Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars, Mickey-shaped soft pretzels, churros, and freshly popped popcorn. Each one of these can be found at multiple locations in every park, which is really great if someone in your group is more selective. Pro Tip: Popcorn is sold in a few different sizes, but the souvenEAR bucket not only comes with a lid, it's eligible for refills for the duration of your visit!
If you're looking for a
more magical snack, some of the favorites in my family are the Mickey Mouse Child's Cone at Plaza Ice Cream Parlor (it's a single scoop of ice cream with chocolate "ears"!), a Mickey-shaped waffle at Sleepy Hollow, Jack-Jack's Num Num Cookie at Neighborhood Bakery, the Peter Pan Float at Storybook Treats, and anything from Tamu Tamu Refreshments in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. If your littles are fans of 'the force' and would like to snack like a Jedi, you won't want to miss The Milk Stand in the land of
Batuu in Disney's Hollywood Studios. And there are so many options in
Epcot's World Showcase, like school bread in Norway and a tart in France, that you could skip a meal and just 'snack around the world'.
Did you know that your visit times up perfectly with the annual Epcot International Festival of the Arts, where both visual and tasty culinary delights are on display.
Here's a Disney Parks Blog post about the offerings from the most recent festival; definitely 'like' and 'follow' the Disney Parks Blog across all of your social media channels so you'll lEARn about all kinds of fun foods that are introduced before your trip!
Be sure to check out the bakery case in the Quick-Service Dining Location at your and any
Disney Resort Hotel you may happen to visit as some of these feature their own Disney favorites, like edible cookie dough or specialty cupcakes. And if you happen to have some time to spare while visiting Disney Springs, take the complimentary water taxi to Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter where you'll find
Mickey-shaped beignets.
And lastly, when all else fails (or someone gets "hangry"), reach for your phone and place a
Mobile Food and Beverage Order for as little as a side of fries. The app will even show you what's nearby to where you're currently standing!
I hope this gave you some food for thought, Ashley, and if you have any more Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!
