What are the "must-haves" that I need on my packing list? Stuff that a first-timer might not know to bring along. Both for the trip itself as well as in my day pack each day to the parks. We will have a 3 and 6 yo at the time of the trip.

What a fun question, Amanda.  Thanks for entrusting the Moms with it!  I would say that a lot of your packing list would be determined by the time of year you are visiting.  If your vacation falls in rainy season, for instance, a poncho would be very important for each member of your party.  Chamois type towels are also handy to bring along in a backpack during rainy season because you can wipe down bleachers and chairs before shows or parades.  Sunscreen and hats to shade you from the sun would also rank high on the list.  Personally, I also make sure to bring small vials of hand sanitizer for use in the parks.  With young children, you might consider some sort of temporary tattoo or bracelet where you can write your cell phone number in case they get separated from you.  If your kiddos have autograph books, you'll want to bring thick pens as those are easiest for the characters to sign with.  If you have a smart phone, you might consider downloading Disney's Mobile Magic app as well.  Let's see, have I covered it all?  Oh!  Be sure that you have plenty of space on your digital camera's memory card because you'll be making lots of magical memories and you'll want to capture them all.  Enjoy!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
