Hiya Susan! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question! I noticed your arrival date was a few days ago. I'm hoping that I am still catching you in time, or that it was a mistype and your vacation is still in the forefront. Your question speaks to two of my favorite things about Walt Disney World, the resorts and the nighttime spectaculars.
Disney's Wilderness Lodge is one of the most fascinating Disney Resorts, due to its incredible theming and serene atmosphere. It's hard to imagine a busy theme park is only a short boat ride away when you are relaxing at this resort. Between the fantastic dining options inside the main lobby and at
Geyser Point Bar & Grill, which is located near the lake, you can spend your entire vacation without even leaving this resort!
Wilderness Lodge is tucked back a bit compared to other
Magic Kingdom Area Resorts. The viewing of the nighttime firework display will not be as optimal as some of the others. Some rooms might face directly toward Cinderella Castle, but none of the rooms are guaranteed to have this view. While I was able to confirm that some of the neighboring resorts have a channel you can select on your TV that will allow you to listen to the music of the show, I would suggest checking with the front desk upon arrival to see if a similar channel is offered in your room.
The best place to catch a majority of the show is down by the Marina and Geyser Point. You'll be able to catch many of the high-profile fireworks from over the treetops. I've also hopped on a boat to the Magic Kingdom during the fireworks just to catch the show over the water. If you time it right, this view can be one of the best.
If you are spending the night in your room, I have a trick I used on a recent stay at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. I was unable to pipe the music in on our TV, so I performed a Google search for the music to
Disney Enchantment. I was able to sync the music up to exactly when the show started and played it from my mobile device while we watched from our balcony. This ended up being a pretty magical night!
For the best viewing outside of the park with the music piped in, head over to the beachfront at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. You have an unobstructed view of the show and a white sandy beach to watch and listen to it from.
Susan, I hope this information helps you during your visit! Have a magical vacation!
