Are all of the Murphy beds the same size , we have a very tall teenager ?

Ahoy there, Mary! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you sailed our way with your question about the wall beds on the Disney Cruise Line fleet!

Judging by your question, it sounds like you and your crew are booked in a Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom! With or without a verandah, these staterooms are great for a family of four or five, or maybe just a family of three with a kiddo who likes to bed hop! The bed configuration in the staterooms with wall beds is a queen main bed, a twin wall bed, a twin sofa bed (the seat actually flips to form the bed), and a twin pull-down berth in most. So if your very tall teen is lanky like Goofy but still fits on a twin-size bed, you're in luck!

If they are more like James P. Sullivan - always hanging over the edges of the bed - I understand the predicament that may pose. I wish I had better news for you, Mary! If it's a sticking point, you and your crew could always put some wagers on some of the activities you experience on the ships together! Winner of Trivia gets the queen bed for the night? Person with the best "learn-to-draw" character drawing? Maybe even a reward for the person who eats outside their comfort zone the most! (Escargot at any of the incredible dining options with French-inspired menus, anyone?)

All joking aside, I should mention that although the sofa, berth, and wall bed are twin beds, they are exceedingly comfortable! On more than one occasion when we want to nap, but know that climbing into the queen bed would mean sleeping through multiple alarms, my wife and I have folded down the sofa bed, and both fit well enough to recharge! If the two of us can fit, I hope your tall teen can manage! Besides, with the amount of time they'll likely spend at Vibe and on the pool deck, sleep may wait until after the cruise as well, haha!

No matter how the sleeping arrangements resolve, I hope that you and your crew have an absolutely magical time while aboard, Mary! If I know anything about Disney Cruise Line - there will be plenty of relaxation in store for you all this April! Thank you again for your question, and if any others arise before your incredible adventure unfolds, please sail our way again here at planDisney!

Until then, may your anchor be tight, your compass true, and the beds of sufficient length for your teen!
