Welcome to planDisney! A trip with your mum to Walt Disney World sounds fantastic, Jessica! You've inspired me to do the same with my mother.
Alcoholic beverages can be purchased at Walt Disney World Resort by all Guests 21 years of age or older.
As Guests visiting from outside of the United States, you'll need to present a valid passport and another form of government-issued photo ID from your country of origin. This can be a copy of your passport (either on paper or captured on a mobile device), along with a government-issued photo ID (like your driving licence) which verifies your name and birth date. Ultimately, alcohol is only served at the discretion of Cast Members and the rules they follow - you can read through the
list of acceptable IDs. Ok, you're I.D. ready, now where to go and what to order! I personally recommend the
Nomad Lounge in
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park as a calm oasis from the Disney crowds. I think it's worth waiting for an outdoor table, and I highly recommend the Bota-Rita. Aaaand the churros are a deliciously sweet treat. If you're more interested in a party atmosphere,
Trader Sam's Grog Grotto is the place to be!
I wish you both the most magical time together at Walt Disney World - with a margarita thrown in for good measure. As ever, I'm here to help with everything related to your adventure ahead, so please let me know if there is anything else I can do. Louise
