can i use multiple gift cards to purchase ticket

Hey there Kris and welcome to planDisney. Seems like I am always getting the same present from friends and family... the Disney Gift Card. These bits of magic are so handy because they can be used almost everywhere at Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, and Disney Cruise Line. They can buy theme park tickets, pay for Disney Resort Hotel Packages, and, of course, souvenirs and Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars. Yum!

Yes, you may use multiple Disney Gift Cards to purchase theme park tickets as there are multiple ways to purchase theme park tickets directly from Disney.

    • Purchasing over the phone through a Cast Member or an Authorized Disney Travel Specialist will require you to have the Disney Gift Cards handy to read the numbers. They can apply multiple cards toward the ticket purchase transaction. Some travel agents want you to email them the numbers so they can enter them correctly. In the past, we have made purchases for our entire Disney Resort Hotel Package.
    • Online or through the My Disney Experience Mobile App ticket purchases with Disney Gift Cards are different. They will only allow one Disney Gift Card transaction. There is a small workaround depending on the price of the ticket. Disney Gift Cards can be combined through the Disney Gift Card website. This means you can add the balance of one card to another card till you reach a maximum of $1000 (as of now). If you need to purchase more than one ticket and the total is more than $1000 then make multiple transactions to be able to use your gift cards.

planDisney Pro Tip: Disney Gift Cards sometimes get misplaced but if you store and check the balance on the Disney Gift Card website you might able to transfer balances even without the cards in hand. Please note that the website only stores the balance number and not the actual card itself. You will need the card when paying.

Kris, I hope this information helps you. Have a great time this week with Mickey and the gang! Please feel free to write me back directly with any follow-up questions.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
