Are there multiple entrances to Disneyland Park for walk-in guests? Due to costs, I'm trying to determine where to get a hotel outside of the park with limited walking distance.

Hi there, Shane! So happy you found us here at planDisney. You must be starting to feel that magic - your trip is just a few short months away! May is such a beautiful month to be in the parks, and with a little faith, luck, and ... you guessed it ... pixie dust, there may be a few surprises in store for you! While no dates have yet been announced, we are expecting to see the grand return of World of Color, Fantasmic!, and the Disneyland Forever Fireworks in the next few months! I would give the Disneyland Instagram account a quick follow or check in with the Disney Parks Blog for the latest news!

One of the things I love about the Disneyland Resort is that there are so many Good Neighbor Hotels in the area, making a path to the magic available for almost every budget. Many are so close that they are just a quick hop, skip, jump to the parks while others offer their own shuttle service. When it comes to Disneyland Park, there are two entrances. One is the Main Gate Esplanade which is where the majority of Guests will enter. The second alternative is the entrance via the Disneyland Monorail which will actually bring you straight to Tomorrowland. The Monorail is so classic and an attraction in and of itself that I find this to be one of the coolest ways to enter the park! As long as you have a valid theme park ticket and reservation, you are welcome to catch the Monorail at the Downtown Disney District Station near the Disneyland Hotel and sail on into your Disneyland day!

One other fun note is that it was just announced that the parking lot trams will be returning on February 23rd! We have all missed hopping those trams from the Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals Parking Structures. If for some reason you find yourself preferring to drive from your hotel and park on property, your feet are probably breathing a sigh of relief right about now!

Shane, I truly hope you have the most magical time at the Happiest Place on Earth! Don't forget to take a few minutes each day to just enjoy your surroundings. I like to grab a sweet treat and watch my fellow Guests make their way to Sleeping Beauty Castle! If you have any more questions, come see us again at planDisney. We are always here for you!

    Keep wishing on those stars,
    Tara
