Welcome to planDisney, Christine!
You've got just a few days before you are strolling down Main Street and joining the happy haunts at the Haunted Mansion. Before you take a spin in that Doom Buggy, let's take a look at your question so we can set you up for a magical day in the parks!
Lightning Lane Multi Pass is a great way to maximize your time at Disneyland. Not only will you skip the standby queue on select attractions, but having timed return windows will help you map out your day as you move from land to land. You are correct that a Lightning Lane can only be used once per day for a particular attraction. Guests hoping to experience a ride more than once would just hop in the standby queue for that second go around. If it's a popular attraction, you may want to head there when you arrive in the morning and ride via the standby queue first, securing a Lightning Lane for later in the day when wait times may have increased.
While you are in planning mode, I want to point out a helpful feature in the
Disneyland app. When you head to the "Tip Board" to select your next Lightning Lane, you can actually toggle the list to only show attractions that offer it, which makes it quick and easy to make a choice on the go. Selections can be made either when you tap into your Lightning Lane or two hours after you've booked one if you've selected a time for later in the day. I like to set an alarm on my phone to remind me when it's time to make that next selection so we fully maximize the magic.
As part of your Multi Pass, you also have access to
Disney PhotoPass Lenses and unlimited digital downloads of all the
Disney PhotoPass photos taken during your park day. This is a great pixie-dusted perk and allows you to truly capture those unforgettable memories. If you do find yourself in the standby queue for another visit to the Haunted Mansion, use the PhotoPass Lenses to pass the time. My family loves playing around with these for fun filters, animations, and backgrounds that bring these photos to life!
I hope this was helpful, Christine! We're happy to help if any more questions pop up in your planning.
Magic awaits!
