A warm planDisney welcome to you, Kelly. We are so glad you came back to visit and bring this question to us. I'm thrilled to help you plan for your upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort.
Any visit to the Disneyland Resort is magical, but there's something extra special about a multigenerational family visit. Being able to see the magic through everyone else's eyes is truly something wonderful. When it comes to purchasing
theme park tickets, it's really up to you and how you'd like to split them up. If it's easier to purchase them all together with one credit card, one purchase will do. Or, if each family group would like to use their own credit card, separate purchases are fine as well. No matter how you slice it, there are ways to easily link and share tickets.
When it comes to purchasing
Lightning Lane Multi Pass, each person who would like to use this service will need to add this to their theme park ticket. Anyone who would like to book Lightning Lane selections (for themself or for others) will need to have the
Disneyland app. I recommend designating one or two people to book the selections on behalf of the group for the day. To do this, you will need to link everyone's ticket in the app. This is done by tapping the "☰" to open the menu followed by tapping the "My Tickets & Passes" tile. Next, tap the "+" in the upper right and then "Link Tickets & Passes." I like to use the "Camera" feature to easily link tickets by scanning the barcode. Once all of the tickets have been linked, you will see everyone listed as an option to be added to your party when making Lightning Lane selections throughout the day.
You will be visiting during the
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort and it will be especially magical. Make sure to take advantage of the unlimited
Disney PhotoPass digital downloads from the day. A picture in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle covered in snow and the Holiday Tree in Town Square are musts. Keep an eye on
Disney Parks Blog and follow
@disneyland on Instagram to stay updated on all the festive offerings as we get closer to the season.
Kelly, I hope this is helpful as you continue to plan and prepare for your magical visit. Please come back to visit us with any other questions you might be curious about. Here's wishing you a most magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
Happy planning!
