Hi MaryBeth!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Disney Dining Plans are a great way to not only budget your meal money for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation, they are a great way for guests to get excited about dining around Disney by resEARching menus ahead of time.
Quick-Service meals are usually pre-determined combo meals that feature a single entree and a side or two, like the Tonga Toast with bacon at Capt. Cook's at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort or the Breakfast Platter at Sunshine Seasons in Epcot. When using a Dining Plan, these choices also come with a beverage like coffee or soda. New for 2018, you can choose a specialty beverage, like a fruit smoothie or milkshake; guests 21+ can select an alcoholic drink, and yes, even for breakfast. (You
are on vacation.)
Something fun about Quick-Service meals is that most
Quick-Service dining locations will let you "turn" one meal credit into three Snack entitlements, so in theory you
could create your own meal by picking three items that are all snack entitlements like what you mentioned above. Do note that you must redeem all three of the "meal-turned-snack" entitlements in the same transaction, and that you cannot redeem these snacks for an alcoholic beverage.
Sadly, Staring Rolls is no longer around. But the Trolley Car Cafe, also in Disney's Hollywood Studios, now serves some of the goodies that once made Staring Rolls so popular, like the carrot cake cookie and the famous peanut butter cupcake. Other awesome bakeries you should visit are Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery in Disney's Animal Kingdom, Gaston's Tavern in Magic Kingdom Park, and Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie in Epcot.
I hope this helped, MaryBeth, and We'll See You Real Soon!
