I have a 27 mth old son.I was thinking about getting the 3 park pass (without the park hopper). What would be the best three parks to take a 2 year old to? Would he be able to ride any rides? Would 3 parks in 5 day be to much for him? Thanks.

    Melissa:

I like how you're approaching your trip!  Disney is VAST, and you don't have to take everything in, especially with a 2-year-old.

With that in mind, I always recommend the one-park-only tickets for parents of small children, simply from the standpoint of lugging around all that gear PLUS a stroller!  As for the parks, I think you should see Magic Kingdom, Disney Studios, and Animal Kingdom, taking a slow pace to enjoy the areas of the park where he'll love to explore.

    • Magic Kingdom: Pretty much the entire park is his oyster!  Just a few head attractions may be off-limits.  Fantasyland, Toon Town and even a ride on the riverboat will captivate him!
    • Disney's Hollywood Studios:  Offers PlayHouse Disney, MuppetVision in 3D (I laugh every time I see kids bating the images they think are right in front of them!), not to mention the Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast, and Lights, Motors, Action!
    • Animal Kingdom:  Take him on the Kilamanjaro Safaris when you arrive (the animals are more lively) and then don't miss the animal trails once you get off.  There's not a zoo I know that gets you THAT close to monkeys!  Another favorite: the Boneyard and playground near Dinoland.  Take a snack and let him explore (best of all, you don't have to worry about dirt—the boneyard is filled with pebbles!  A mom's dream!)  Last thought on AK: it's the best park for shows for kids of ALL ages: Flights of Wonder and Lion King top my list, but Nemo is spectacular, too.
Wishing you and your little guy a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
