Hello Rick!
Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love that you're bringing your Mrs. Incredible for a couples trip! My husband and I have spent many anniversaries without children in
Walt Disney World Resort. We enjoy dining whenever and wherever we want and being able to choose all our favorite attractions. Of course we adore coming with our family, but those are different memories.
The last two weeks of January are some of the lowest crowds you'll find in Walt Disney World. There's not really a super slow period any more with the addition of Pandora - the World of Avatar and
Toy Story Land opening this summer! However, the end of January and some of September are your best bets for low crowds. We've been several times during that time frame and had a blast. Like you mentioned, weather can be tricky. Just keep an eye on the forecast to know what to pack. I usually pack in layers for January.
One of my best memories at Walt Disney World with my husband was when we splurged on dinner at
Victoria & Albert's. We've also had fun closing down the theme parks each night and watching the Kiss Goodnight. We'll be having date nights at Disney until we're 100!
If you have any other questions, please come back and see us real soon. Wishing you a very magical vacation (without kids)!
