hi mp we are planning our first trip to wdw in august I would like to know if we go to magic kingdom but have dinner reservations in downtown disney can we leave and come back after dinner if it is still open how does this work. we are staying on wdw prop.

    Hi Charla,

You must be very excited about your first trip to Walt Disney World!  Yes, indeed, you may leave the Magic Kingdom for a dining reservation at Downtown Disney and then return to the Magic Kingdom later in the day.  Just make sure you have your park ticket with you when you return to the theme park.  The only reason they would not permit you to re-enter the park would be if the park had reached maximum capacity while you were elsewhere.  Typically, that only occurs on major holidays like Christmas, so you needn't worry.

Have a magical trip in August!
