Hi MP, we are coming to WDW in July staying @ Cars resort. I'm wondering about the room phones, are they free to use, if not how much to call or get a call from NYS if need to. I'm going on Vacation really don't want cell phones there with us. thank you.

Tammy, be prepared to step into an animated movie when you stay in a Cars Suite at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Cozy cones, bold and well themed decor, and your favorite cars abound. Even the exterior wall are painted mural style to create a dessert setting.

Only calls to other resort rooms are free. Long distance calls are $1.50 per call plus a 50% surcharge. If you plan on making a few long distance calls, you are much better off economically bringing your cell phones, stashing your mobiles in the closet, and retrieving one only when you need to make a call. Wi-fi is free and available in the parks and your resort.
