We will be moving to Florida and will be getting annual passes. For my adult children whose permanent address is with us (university students and working, living in rented accommodation) can they also get Florida resident passes?

    Hi there, Julia!

Thank you for visiting planDisney with your Florida resident question! And congratulations on your upcoming move to the Sunshine State!  As a fellow Florida resident, I can tell you—it’s practically perfect in every way having The Most Magical Place on Earth right in your backyard! My family and I love popping over for a whimsical day adventure or planning pixie-dusted weekend getaways. And one of our favorite traditions? Creating custom popcorn mixes at Kernel Kitchen inside the Main Street Confectionery—it’s a must-do!

Now, let’s dive right into your question, Julia! If your adult children (18 or older) want to take advantage of Florida resident tickets, they’ll need to provide one of the following forms of identification:

    • Valid Florida driver’s license (must have a Florida address)
    • Valid Florida state-issued ID card (must have a Florida address)
    • Valid Florida-based military ID
Extra bit of magic: If they have one of these forms of ID, they can validate their residency online, which means there is no need to visit Guest Relations! When purchasing tickets on DisneyWorld.com, fill out the “Your Florida Resident Information” form at checkout. If purchasing through the My Disney Experience app, they’ll complete this step during the “Customize Your Tickets” process.

No Florida ID yet? They can also provide alternative proof of residency, like a financial institution statement (checking, savings, or investment) along with another form of ID. Just like Cinderella’s coach, everything needs to be current and valid! Here’s the full list of acceptable documents: Florida Residency Requirements.

I hope this helps, Julia! I wish you a magical transition to Florida—filled with sunshine, castle views, and maybe even a few Mickey ice cream bars along the way! If you have any more questions, feel free to visit us again.

    See you real soon,

    Christina
