Hi Sandra! Thanks for bringing your question here to us at planDisney.
Firstly, I want to wish you all the best with your move! I hope it goes smoothly and that the Floridian sun brings a smile to your face. And it seems like you aren't wasting any time as far as becoming an
Annual Passholder. As you likely know, an annual pass to the
Walt Disney World Resort can be a great value as you get to visit the parks often as long as you secure your
Theme Park Reservations and understand any
blockout dates that may apply to your pass. Plus, once activated, you can begin to take advantage of some
great perks and benefits. Not to mention the fact that there is usually something new to explore and see at the resort each time you go. That, to me, is the greatest benefit of any vacation to the resort!
To qualify for an annual pass exclusively for Florida residents, you must be a Florida resident at the time of purchase and be able to provide proof of residence. Please refer to the
Proof of Florida Residence guidelines to ensure you have the proper documentation when it's time for you to make this purchase. At the time of writing this answer, there are three options for Florida residents on sale but that may change as these passes are limited.
Sandra, with your new annual pass and closer proximity to the parks, you are set to enjoy a calendar year of benefits once you activate your pass. I cannot wait for you to experience the magic that awaits you as you begin your new journey. You'll be able to experience what it's like to be digitized onto the Grid and speed against the villainous orange team on
TRON Lightcycle / Run Presented by Enterprise at
Magic Kingdom Park. You'll soon learn about the water cycle from your friend Moana at
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana at
EPCOT (opening in late 2023). In late 2024, you'll be traveling down the bayou on
Tiana's Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom Park. And you'll have the opportunity to dine at
Summer House on the Lake in
Disney Springs and
The Cake Bake Shop Bakery by Gwendolyn Rogers at
Disney's BoardWalk when they open later in 2023. There's a whole new world of possibilities with an annual pass and I'm sure the ingenious Imagineers have a lot more surprises up their sleeve that we can't even begin to imagine!
Should you have any other questions as you begin to explore this whole new world, please
don't hesitate to reach out.
It's all so magical,
Matt
