Hi, Ashley!
Thank you for visiting
planDisney with this question about the
Disneyland Resort. Let me be one of the first to welcome you to California! I hope you’re looking forward to many trips to the Happiest Place on Earth now that you’re almost an official Californian.
It sounds like you already know that only California residents can enter the theme parks at this time. First of all, please double check that your contact information, especially your new home address here in California, is up-to-date in your Disney account on
Disneyland.com or in the
Disneyland mobile app. Cast Members at the theme park entrance gates could require you to present identification to show proof of residency along with your
theme park reservation code, so if you won’t have an in-state photo ID before your visit, I suggest that you bring along the temporary paper copy issued by the DMV if you have one. Additionally, bring any other photo identification you may have, like a student or staff ID card, and a piece of mail that shows your name and California home address.
I hope this helps and that you enjoy a perfectly pixie-dusted visit to the theme parks soon, Ashley! Please don’t hesitate to send us more questions as you continue making plans.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
