Where do the movies under the stars play at POFQ? Are they loud enough to consider requesting a room in a building farther away from them? Have young kids who are light sleepers and will need their rest for busy park days!

    Hi there Kari,

You and your little ones are going to fall in love with the New Orleans-inspired resort that is Port Orleans French Quarter.  This fabulous property is among the smallest resorts and really lends itself to a quaint and boutique-hotel vibe while maintaining that touch of Disney magic we all love so much!

"Movie Under the Stars" takes place nightly at French Quarter Green, the lawn between buildings 5 and 6.  Although I don't consider the movie volume to be outlandishly loud, if you're concerned about noise, it may be wise to request a room that does not open up to a main courtyard area such as French Quarter Green. You'll also want to avoid rooms that overlook the pools, as these areas tend to be noisy.  On our last visit we were assigned a room that opened to the movie lawn, and we couldn't hear a peep when we were inside with the air conditioner humming.  I actually find the Port Orleans Resorts to be very quiet and relaxing in general.

    Best Wishes,

    Amanda F.
