Ahoy there, Sheri!
Welcome aboard planDisney! You’re just a few short weeks from grabbing some popcorn, finding that perfect seat inside the
Buena Vista Theatre, and letting the house lights dim
aboard the Disney Fantasy. There’s just something about watching a movie at sea that feels a little more epic. Maybe it’s the gentle sway of the ship or maybe it’s just that Disney magic floating through the air.
Based on the current movie lineup, here’s what may be playing when you step aboard:
• Elio
• Lilo & Stitch (2025)
• Moana 2
• The Fantastic Four: First Steps
• Freakier Friday
• Tron: Ares
• Zootopia 2
• Avatar: Fire and Ash
Now, as Rafiki would say, “It is time.” But in this case, it’s time to remember that schedules can change. Disney sometimes sprinkles in a little surprise pixie dust and shifts things around. Once you’re onboard, be sure to check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for the most up-to-date showtimes and offerings. It will list everything playing in the Buena Vista Theatre and any additional screenings around the ship.
One more title to keep on your radar: the all-new Pixar film “Hoppers” is scheduled to premiere on March 6th. While it wasn’t on the most recent onboard schedule, Disney Cruise Line is known for
offering first-run films the same day they hit theaters. Since your sailing begins on opening day, there’s a very real possibility you could experience an embarkation-day premiere.
If you’re a movie fan like I am, I always recommend checking showtimes early in the sailing and building them into your plans. Sea days especially are perfect for catching a matinee between trivia, soft-serve runs, and relaxing on the pool deck. And if you miss one? No worries. Movies are typically shown multiple times throughout the voyage, so you’ll have plenty of chances to circle back.
I hope this
helps as you start planning your onboard movie marathon. There’s nothing quite like settling into a plush theater seat while the ocean rolls by outside—it’s blockbuster magic with a sea breeze twist.
Sea ya real soon with a little extra warmth, wonder, and Disney magic,
Dustin
