Disney Fantasy is right on the horizon! You must be so excited! I’m also setting sail this weekend, on board the beautiful Disney Treasure, and like you, I’ve also been doing a little research about the movies playing onboard. There is nothing quite like catching a fun Disney movie, crunching on some delicious Disney popcorn (which also happens to be my favorite Disney snack!) during a relaxing Sea Day on board a Disney cruise ship.
I adore the
Buena Vista Theater on board the Disney Fantasy. It’s so beautiful and reminiscent of the golden age of movies. My favorite thing about it is that it’s actually a two-story theater, with access on Deck 4 and Deck 5! I love sitting on the upper floor on Deck 5 as it feels very cozy to me, but you truly can't go wrong anywhere.
One of the really cool things about Disney Cruise Line is that they get first-run Disney movies. This means that if a Disney movie is playing in a movie theater, it’s also most likely going to be playing on board a Disney cruise ship!
Based on this, I have narrowed down the list of possible movies that could be playing at the Buena Vista Theater at this time. Please remember they are always subject to change at any time. So while I can’t say definitely, the choices that are most likely playing are Zootopia 2, Elio, Avatar: Fire and Ash, Freakier Friday, Fantastic Four: First Steps, and Tron: Ares. That’s a pretty awesome movie lineup, if you ask me!
The other cool thing is that, while they do show at certain times throughout the day, they also show at multiple times, and on multiple days throughout your cruise! So, for example, if you can’t catch Tron: Ares on Sunday at 7 PM, you’ll have a few other times during your cruise to watch it. Be sure to check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for the most up-to-date times and selections once onboard.
As for me? I’m really eyeing Avatar: Fire and Ash and purposely didn’t watch it yet so I could watch it for the first time on my cruise!
