Hello Maria,
It sounds like you have some really fun decisions to make! As a former
Florida resident, I loved having easy access to the parks. But something that was just as special to my family was a simple day at Disney Springs, especially over the holidays.
If you plan to spend a lot of time in the parks, an
Annual Pass may be a great option for you. I recommend taking a look at the cost and deciding if you think you will visit often enough to offset the price. I personally think it's worth it, but you may decide to pay as you go.
If you've never been to the
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, I would definitely start there since it kicks off in just a couple weeks! The food is amazing, the music will have you dancing and it's a really fun way to "see the world" right from your back yard.
I also recommend visiting
Disney Springs to see the incredible new entertainment and shopping opportunities, not to mention so many delicious restaurants it would take weeks to enjoy them all!
Finally, if you can get to Magic Kingdom Park before October 9, 2016, you'll be able to see one of the last Walt Disney World performances of the
Main Street Electrical Parade before it returns to Disneyland Resort. This nighttime parade is a beautiful and iconic piece of Disney history and not to be missed!
Congratulations on your move, Maria. Wishing you the first of many happy memories at your new home!
