Hi there, Sylvie!
Welcome to planDisney—and welcome to my beautiful state of Florida! You are going to love being a mere drive away from gorgeous beaches, other natural wonders, and of course, The Most Magical Place on Earth. Let’s get into what you need in order to prove your new residency status.
Regardless if you want to take advantage of Florida-resident
Special Offers, Deals & Discounts or buy one of the Florida-resident-exclusive annual passes, you will need to prove your residency. The easy way is to show a Florida-issued identification card like a driver’s license. However, if you don’t have one yet, Hakuna Matata!
First things first, you’ll definitely need some other form of photo ID, like the Canadian passport that you mentioned. Also, bring one of the following
Florida-addressed items dated within the last two months with your name on it:
-Mortgage payment
-Homeowner's insurance policy or bill
-Automobile registration, insurance policy, or bill
-Utility bill (power, water, cable, or phone)
-Mail from financial institutions (like a bank) or government agencies
Get your documents together and show them to a Walt Disney World Cast Member at Guest Relations or the ticket window at one of the four theme parks or at the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. Doing this in-person isn’t that much of a hassle, especially when you know so much magic is on the other side of the process.
Sylvie, I can’t wait for you to officially tap into the magic as a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder. To be honest, having an annual pass to my Happy Place makes me feel like an honorary member of the Mickey Mouse Club. Until then, if you have any other questions,
reach out to us here at planDisney. See you real soon!
Magic always,
LeAndra
