We just moved to a city within the SoCal zip code requirements for the discount tickets. Our IDs don’t have the updated address yet. What else can we bring to use as proof? We have utility bills and mortgage statements.

    Hi there, Jordan!

I’m only very jealous of you fortunate Southern Californians. The Southern California resident ticket offer is a terrific deal. I would love to take advantage of such a great offer too.

As you know, the special Southern California resident weekday ticket is valid only for residents within the California ZIP codes 90000- 93599 and Baja California postal codes 21000-22999. A current government-issued ID is required as proof of residency. But, hakuna matata! It means “no worries!” If you have already begun the process of applying for your California IDs, even a temporary ID or driver’s license is accepted as proof of residency.

If you haven’t had an opportunity to apply for your California ID yet, you may be interested in learning that the Anaheim Driver License Processing Center is located a mere 15 minutes away from the Disneyland Resort parking structures. They are open every weekday. And the California Department of Motor Vehicles also offers an online driver’s license/ID card application that can help streamline the in-person portion of the application. If all goes well, you would likely still have enough time to enjoy one of my favorite things at the Disneyland Resort: breakfast at Galactic Grill. Mmm! I can practically taste the Impossible Breakfast Bowl now.

Tony’s Tip: The Southern California resident weekday ticket can be used all at once within three consecutive days. Or you spread the magic out. The tickets are valid until all three days are used or until May 25, 2023, whichever comes first. You may wish to save at least one of your days to make a theme park reservation for Disneyland Park on or after February 24, 2023. That’s when my favorite daytime parade, "Magic Happens," returns to the Disneyland Resort!

I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Jordan!
