Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Laura!
Welcome to planDisney! We are DELIGHTED you stopped by, and we are very excited to answer your question regarding your upcoming trip to the Disneyland Resort!
I know you are SO excited Mickey Mouse and his pals have opened up the gates to the
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park! I can't WAIT for you to see and experience these two TIGGER-ific theme parks VERY SOON!
Now, to answer your question...
These are two main ways to prove if a guest is a California resident. The first is verifying their California residency through their My Disneyland Account by their current California address in the system. Also, when a guest makes a Disneyland Theme Park reservation, they are required to certify that they are, in fact, a California resident. These will be the two main ways to prove if a guest is a California resident. Since you currently live in California, I would make sure the address on your My Disneyland account reflects where you are currently living. When I talked to a very helpful Cast Member, and she told me that a form of identification MAY be checked at the gate. To cover all of your bases, my recommendation would be to bring something like your California Vehicle Registration just in case a Cast Member asks to prove your current California residence at the park gate.
As more and more TIGGER-ific information is shared about the
phased reopening of the Disneyland Resort, I would highly recommend following Disneyland on all of its social media channels and subscribing to
The Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date Disney information!
If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask! We are here to help in any way!
Have a MAGICAL day!
