Hi There, since we have to move our Disneyland family vacation from Spring break 2020 to late Summer 2020 can you please tell me what the typical park hours are around the last week or so of August?

Hiya Becky, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so glad you’re hEAR!

I’m sorry to hEAR that you had to move your family’s vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth, I know how disappointing this must be for you all! However, I think your new timing should be great, too! In past years, the last week of August tends to be a bit less crowded, as families head home to go back to school. Plus, the weather’s nice and warm, and the park hours are longer! We won’t know the exact Park Hours until the schedule is released about six weeks before your visit. But, I was able to check this helpful “When to Visit” page to see that during August, Disneyland Park typically opens at 8:00 AM or 9:00 AM, and closes at 11:00 PM or midnight. Disney California Adventure Park typically opens at 8:00 AM or 9:00 AM, and closes at 9:00 PM or 10:00 PM. These extended hours make it easier to break up your park days, so you can take a midday pool or nap break, and head back in the evenings when the temperature has cooled down. The average temperate range for August is between 63 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit. I also recommend starting your day early so you can nab Disney FASTPASS selections for your “must-do” attractions before they get too full for the day.

Before your big trip, I also recommend downloading the Disneyland app. This app is my favorite tool for checking attraction wait times, making dining reservations, finding Characters, and using Disney MaxPass and Disney PhotoPass. Speaking of MaxPass, I truly believe it’s the best way to maximize your time in the parks! MaxPass allows you to make Disney FASTPASS selections from the convenience of your mobile device. Plus, it includes unlimited digital downloads of your PhotoPass images, which is an amazing benefit, too! I love using PhotoPass to make sure everyone in our family is included in some super-fun, memorable shots.

I hope this information helps, Becky! Please stop by with any additional questions… I’m all EARs!
