Hi Catherine! Welcome to planDisney!
Visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during the holiday season is one of the best times of the year to do so. Many of the parks are lined with festive décor and special events taking place all around. The Magic Kingdom is home to
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party which is held on select nights throughout the season.
While tickets to this event are nonrefundable, you will not lose the value you paid if you are unable to attend. If you are not able to make it this year, you can put the amount you paid toward a special event ticket in the future. Simply
call the Existing Ticket line when you are ready to purchase your new tickets and let the Cast Member know that you have an unused ticket from last year's party. If the new ticket costs more than your previous purchase, you will need to pay the difference. Also, keep in mind that it is not guaranteed that Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will make a return next year. You should still be able to put the value of your tickets toward a special ticketed event, but it may end up being something else.
Just announced recently is the return of
Disney After Hours at the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Each of these events takes place during late night hours and requires a special ticket for entry. These events allow Guests the chance to experience each of these parks under the night sky and with minimal crowds. It's the best way to maximize your time on a park day!
Catherine, I hope this information helps you plan your next stay! If you are unable to visit this year, we look forward to the next time you can come again.
See ya real soon!
Greg
