Hi there is Mouseketeer land ! I’m about to be a grandmother. My son and daughter-in -law told me the gender. We will be traveling with 15 other family members. Is it possible for a balloon filled with blue confetti ? Where is guest service ?

    Hiya Rosemarie!

Welcome to planDisney and congratulations on being promoted to Grandma! It's so special to celebrate the arrival of a new little Mouseketeer. You have such a special trip planned with a large group of loved ones ready to celebrate and I hope you have the most magical time!

So Rosemarie, if you plan to pop that balloon so that colored confetti ends up strewn around the Park you may find that it will not make it past Security. This is not allowed in the Parks as it makes quite a bit of a mess and can be disruptive. But don't fret my friend, there are so many great gender reveal ideas that you can still do in Walt Disney World Resort!

    • Baby's First Ornament- I have purchased for each of my children their first ornament from the Parks and have lovingly placed it on my Christmas tree each year. Secretly head to Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Magic Kingdom Park or Disney's Days of Christmas in Disney Springs. Find your special ornament and as a bonus, have it personalized with beautiful calligraphy, for a nominal fee, with the date, the name, or just "Baby's First Christmas!" Make sure to keep it in a gift bag and don't wrap the item as Security may have to see inside.
    • Baby onesie or outfit- This you can prepare ahead of time and just have in a gift bag ready to be opened when in the Parks. Customize for bonus cuteness!
    • Classic Mickey Ears: Curtain Call Collectibles in Magic Kingdom Park has the cutest little Mickey hats that you can have embroidered!
Don't forget to find a Disney PhotoPass Photographer! They are located at various scenic locations throughout the Parks and do a great job capturing magical moments.

Guest Relations locations are in each Park and can be easily found through the My Disney Experience Mobile App. They are usually right near each Park entrance. Just type "Guest Relations" in the search feature of the app and it will list them out and can even map you to the locations. If you have questions or would like assistance they are a great place to visit!

I hope that this helps and your family makes many more magical memories together!

    Happy Planning!

Hey, it's Nimmy from New York! Just like my guy Jiminy Cricket I am your wisecracking and helpful guide to making the best decisions for your Disney vacation! My husband and I work very hard to journey to our favorite place on Earth, Walt Disney World Resort, as much as we can. We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
