How does mousekeeping work? Is it something that I have already paid for booking a stay at the AOA or is this an additional cost? What if I would like to skip days on mousekeeping how does that work?

Hi Monica! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You are going to love your stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort! I adore the themes that are found in different areas of this resort and it is SO colorful! Make sure you take some time to explore the different sections of this resort, including the lobby. I bet you will be amazed at all of the attention to detail like I was!

"Mousekeeping" is just like housekeeping. You get daily service in your room for things like vacuuming, making the bed, tidying up the bathroom, replenishing toiletries, etc. This is included with your Disney Resort hotel stay. In some instances, you can opt out of daily Mousekeeping for every day except the last day of your stay and have a Disney gift card credited to you instead. The gift card you receive in exchange for opting out of Mousekeeping is in the amount of $10.00 per night. If you are staying 5-nights and opt out of Mousekeeping, you would receive a $40.00 gift card ($10.00 per night for every night except the last night). This offer is subject to availability and can change, so if you are interested I recommend speaking with a Cast Member at the Front Desk when you arrive for your stay.

I hope you have the BEST visit this holiday season, Monica! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
