Do you motorized scooter for a handicap person

    Hey, Howdy Hey, Deirdre!

Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for stopping by. Can you believe that in just a few short weeks, you will be at Walt Disney World? How exciting! I can’t wait for you to arrive and enjoy everything there is to do and see.

Walt Disney World does an incredible job of assisting Guests with mobility disabilities. There are plenty of ways to make your cruise through the theme parks an easier one. The first option you have is to rent an ECV once you arrive. ECV rentals are available at all Walt Disney World theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs. This rental can be used throughout the day while you’re visiting the theme parks. If you would rather have an ECV to use to and from your Disney Resort, I recommend renting through ScooterBug, which is a Disney Featured Provider. ScooterBug will drop off your ECV at your resort on the day of your arrival, and when it’s time to return home, you’ll schedule a pickup at the resort. It’s such an easy process and helps make mobility much easier if you plan on using it at your resort as well.

Deirdre, I know you mentioned a motorized form of transportation, but I also wanted to let you know that you have the option of renting a standard wheelchair as well. So that is also an option inside the theme parks or through the Disney Featured Provider, ScooterBug. It's just a matter of deciding which option works best for you during your visit.

I hope this helps ease your worries about traveling through Walt Disney World Resort. Have a magical visit and if there’s anything else you have questions about, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

    See ya real soon,

Meet the Panelist: Shantel, Alabama

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
