My mother-in-law is a passholder. We are going to Disney with her in December and she was going to get us the military tickets but it says that the military member must use one of the tickets. Does this apply to passholders? Thank you

Hi there Katie, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for sending a great question our way.

How exciting that you will be visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth during the merriest time of year. Prepare to be dazzled by Elsa's holiday handiwork on Cinderella Castle; thousands of sparkling icicles light up the night in celebration of the season.

Katie, as a special thank you to our country's service members, Walt Disney World offers promotional theme park tickets to military personnel. Up to 6 Disney Military Promotional Tickets can be purchased per year, and one of these must be used by the eligible service member or his/her spouse, without exceptions for Passholders.  Sometimes there are other discounted theme park tickets available to military personnel that can be purchased through Shades of Green or local military base, so your mother-in-law should check and see if any of those would work for your family.

Additionally, I see that you are visiting us from the Sunshine State. Have you looked into specially priced Florida resident tickets? Walt Disney World offers some fantastic rates to local Guests for both theme park tickets and Resort Hotels.

Once everyone in your group has purchased admission, don't forget to reserve your theme park days in advance with the Disney Park Pass System. It's also a good idea to review some of the Know Before You Go experience updates. My family and I were extremely pleased during a recent visit with the health and safety measures in place throughout the Walt Disney World Resort, and I know you will be too. Finally, keep your eyes on the Disney Parks Blog for the latest information on any holiday happenings that may coincide with your visit.

Thanks again for stopping by, and if there is anything else we can help with before your adventure begins, please come see us again.

Have a great, big, beautiful tomorrow!
