Hiya, Jodi, and welcome to
planDisney!
I’m happy to report that the
Disneyland Resort does a wonderful job of accommodating Guests with wheelchairs and
disabilities, to make their experience as comfortable as possible. First, I recommend checking out this page highlighting
Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities. Here, you’ll find helpful information about attraction access, disability parking, and more.
Depending on your mother’s specific situation, another possible service to consider is
Disability Access Service (DAS), which is a program offered to Guests who have a hard time waiting in a conventional queue due to a disability. If, however, her disability is based on the necessity to use a wheelchair, then she’ll either be able to wait in the standard queue in her wheelchair, or receive a return time at the attraction that is comparable to the current standby wait.
In addition,
Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) and wheelchair rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis daily. You can find them located to the right of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance, and they can be used throughout Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.
If your mom has any additional questions, she can also contact Disability Services at (407) 560-2547, or send an email to disability.services@disneyland.com.
I hope this information helps your mom enjoy her visit to the Disneyland Resort, Jodi! Please stop by with any additional questions... we’re all EARs!
See ya’ real soon,
Kristin
