If my mother wanted to ride the people mover at the magic kingdom. How close can her wheelchair get to the ride car before she has to transfer from her WC to the RC? or can they slow the ride down so that she can board?

    Hello Leonard!

Thanks so much for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope you are still having a magical week!

When boarding any attraction with a wheelchair, a Cast Member will slow, or even stop, the ride so you can transfer safely and comfortably. Unfortunately, the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover does require guest to be ambulatory to ride so I’m not sure if they can slow the ride or not. There are moving walkways, so as long as your mother can stand comfortably for a period of time, then she may be able to go on this attraction. My son often uses a stroller as a wheelchair and we had to park it by the entrance of the attraction to get on.

I hope this helps and please let me know if you need anything else as you plan your visit.

    See you real soon!
