My mother turns 70 this year and she loves Disney. I need help planning a trip that includes beautiful accommodations and ideas for things happening in the parks that appeal to Seniors (normally her favorites would be parades and fireworks). Any ideas?

    Hi, there!

Welcome back to planDisney, Rebecca. We're so excited to hear you're planning another Disney vacation!

Your mom sounds a lot like mine. She loves all-things-Disney, and her most favorite experiences at the Walt Disney World Resort are the nighttime spectaculars. When I was little, my mom would insist we stake out a spot on Main Street, U.S.A. to watch the parade hours before it was even scheduled to begin! While those nighttime spectaculars are currently unavailable, there are lots of magical experiences in the theme parks that will certainly make for an unforgettable birthday celebration.

At Magic Kingdom Park, you can count on parade route entertainment throughout the day like the Mickey and Friends Cavalcade and The Royal Princess Processional. Your mom may be turning 70, but as a Disney fan, she's surely a kid at heart. I bet she'll love seeing beloved Disney Characters pass by! I'm sure she'd also love catching a performance by the legendary Dapper Dans. Doesn't a serenade sound like a lovely way to celebrate a birthday?

Your March visit is the perfect time to experience the Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. With breathtaking topiary displays, stunning gardens, and live entertainment, this festival is just blossoming with experiences your mom will enjoy!

At Disney's Hollywood Studios, be sure to catch a performance of For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration. I think your mom will get a kick out of the show and it's flurry of surprises!

You and your mom won't want to miss exploring Pandora - The World of Avatar in the evening hours at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. The bioluminescent Valley of Mo'ara is positively stunning to walk through at nighttime!

If you're looking for beautiful accommodations for this special birthday trip, I recommend Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Riviera Resort, or Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village. Need something a bit more budget-friendly? Try Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort!

I hope this was helpful, Rebecca. Please visit us again soon if you have any new questions! We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
