Hi Krystal ~
Disney is a great place for Guests with different types of physical limitations. It may help your Mother if you
rent a wheelchair for her. While she may feel fine first thing in the morning, the parks are huge and it may give her the stamina she'll need to make it through the day and your trip. Here is some
additional information on wheelchair rentals in the parks.
Your Mother may like to use the wheelchair to navigate the parks but not in the queues. If Guests traveling in wheelchairs prefer to stand in line, typically they leave their wheelchairs in stroller parking areas located nearest to the attraction. If there isn't stroller parking near the attraction, you can ask any Cast Member in the area who will direct you to the safest place to leave them.
If you think that the Disability Access Service (DAS) Card may assist you, then you should stop by Guest Relations as you enter the first theme park during your trip to request one. If you think that she may be okay without one, you could try without it and see how well she handles the parks. If at any point during the day (or trip) you see that your Mother is having difficulties and you think the DAS would help her access the attractions, you could always go to Guest Relations and request one. I answered a question with
details of how the DAS works that may help you. Here's a list of
Frequently Asked Questions about the DAS.
Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
