My Mother recently passed away and she had a magic band. What can be done with it? What are our options if any?

    Hi Elaine.

Let me start by saying how deeply sorry I am for your loss. I hope you and your family are getting through this difficult time.

Unfortunately, once a MagicBand has been linked to a specific Guest, it cannot be transferred to anyone else. However, if she happened to purchase one but never linked it to her My Disney Experience account, you may be able to still use it for someone else in your party. I suggest logging on to the My Disney Experience account that she is listed under and tapping on "My MagicBands and Cards". Once here, you'll be able to view each MagicBand that was linked to her. If this band does not appear, you may be able to use it for another Guest.

Elaine, if you have an upcoming trip planned and are staying at a Disney Resorts Hotel, you can purchase MagicBands for the Guests in your party at a discounted rate. Walt Disney World offers Guests staying onsite a pre-arrival price for a limited selection of MagicBands. You can order them to be delivered to your home, so you can have them in time for your visit. There also may be an option to send them directly to your resort as well.

While I know this is a challenging time, I hope you and your family are able to have a magical holiday season.
