Welcome to planDisney, Sharon.
What a "practically perfect" time for you to visit.
The World's Most Magical Celebration will feel like one giant party that's been thrown just for you! I've celebrated special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort and so I have some magical ideas that I'm sure will sprinkle some extra pixie dust on your trip.
When speaking to Guests who are celebrating birthdays, one thing I always tell them to do is this: visit Guest Relations at any Theme Park and inform a Cast Member that you're celebrating your birthday. Like the Fairy Godmother, they'll wave their magic wand and *poof* a special birthday button will appear for you to wear. You can wear this button throughout your trip (even if it's technically your "unbirthday") and Cast Members and fellow Guests will be able to wish you a "Happy Birthday!"
Now I don't know about you, Sharon, but the following equation is very true when it comes to me: Mickey + cake = happiness. Therefore, I can't help but suggest ordering a special
Mickey Mouse celebration cake. You can pre-order this cake (choosing the flavor, size, and custom engraving) and have it delivered to any participating restaurant.
Speaking of restaurants, what better way to celebrate your 50th birthday than a delicious meal at one of Disney's world-class restaurants? "If you're stressed, it's fine dining we suggest!" My personal favorite is
California Grill. However, if you'd like more suggestions then
our planDisney team has put together a bunch of recommendations.
Have you ever heard of the
Enchanting Extras Collection, Sharon? You can make reservations for VIP fireworks viewings, spectacular shows, and fascinating behind-the-scenes tours. Although any one of these experiences would be the cherry on top of your trip, let me recommend a couple: First, the captivating
Drawn to Life Presented by Cirque du Soleil & Disney is one of the greatest shows I've ever seen. I absolutely loved it and can't wait to go again. Second,
Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the history and magic of Walt Disney World.
I hope that gives you some enchanting ideas, Sharon. Have a truly wonderful 50th birthday!
See ya real soon!
Mike
