Hello there, Andrew! Welcome to planDisney and thank you for visiting us with your question. I'd be happy to help you navigate your course for adventure aboard the
Disney Dream.
I'm glad you came our way to ask because, in addition to a valid passport, I believe your mother does need a visa to travel to the Bahamas. As requirements can vary, I recommend that she contacts her government agency, embassy, or consulate to gather the information needed regarding
travel documentation for the port of embarkation and all ports of call that will be visited during your sailing.
With all of the proper documentation in hand, be sure to complete your online check-in for your cruise. You can accomplish this on the Disney Cruise Line website or using the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app within 30 days of your sailing date. You'll also be required to upload proof of COVID-19 vaccination prior to setting sail. For all of the updates and details, I encourage you to read the
Guide to Updated Experiences page of the Disney Cruise Line website as you prepare for your voyage.
As you
pack your bags for the big day, please be sure to keep your important travel documentation and proof of vaccination with you in your carry-on luggage. As you'll be embarking in Miami, you may want to throw a swimsuit in your carry-on luggage as well. Shortly after boarding, you can eat a delicious buffet lunch at Cabanas and then relax poolside. The
Quiet Cove Pool is my pool of choice, with plush loungers, shade, and a relaxing adults-only vibe.
Enjoy the time at sea spent with your mother! I'm sure some wonderful memories are just ahead on the horizon. Please cruise our way again if we can be of further assistance. My fellow panelists and I are here and happy to help.
Bon Voyage!
